My Journey with PaperPie and Beyond

🌱 It Started with a Simple Yes

I joined PaperPie (then Usborne Books & More) on December 31, 2013, with one simple intention: to earn free books for my kids.

I didn’t plan to build a business I honestly just wanted to nurture their love of learning. But somewhere along the way, something awakened. I fell in love not just with the books but with their mission: to spark curiosity, connection & confidence in every child.

That simple “yes” became something much bigger. Within a year, I was among the top 1% of leaders in the company! Proof that when we follow what lights us up, the right doors begin to open.

📚 Healing Through Story

What many people don’t know is that reading was once my deepest insecurity - I hated reading when I was younger. As a child, I struggled with comprehension and carried the quiet weight of shame for years.

When I became a mother, I made a different choice. I began reading to my children every day not because it was easy, but because I wanted something different for them.

Somewhere in that process… I began to heal.

For the first time, I found joy in reading. I discovered stories that helped me understand myself, my emotions & the world around me.

That’s when I realized: books don’t just teach...they can transform.

💡 Finding My Voice

In the early days, I was quiet, unsure & just beginning to find my footing. A local networking group The Mary West Network changed everything. With support from community, friends & family, I slowly found my voice one conversation at a time.

Even through seasons of challenge, grief & rebuilding, I kept showing up. Social media became a bridge to connect, share & support families in a deeper way. Each step shaped me into the guide I am today.

🎨 Expanding into Creative Purpose

In 2022, during a season of deep personal transformation, I stepped into something new — managing social media for a local business.

What began as a creative outlet became something more.

I realized I wasn’t just meant to share stories — I was meant to help others tell theirs.

That work grew into my soul-aligned marketing brand, where I now support heart-led women entrepreneurs in building authentic connection, showing up with confidence & growing in alignment.

Through PaperPie, I help families rediscover the joy of reading — guiding them toward books that build confidence, empathy, and meaningful connection.

Through my creative work, I support entrepreneurs in amplifying their voice and impact while honoring their energy.

And through the spaces I create, I bring women together to heal, connect, and rise — through reflection, community, and intentional support.
