Trail With Purpose 💛

Family Success Northwest

The Kitsap County Reading Trail is about more than just reading books.

Many of the stories featured throughout the trail explore themes like emotions, friendship, empathy, confidence, self-regulation and connection because stories help children (and adults) better understand themselves and the world around them.

I am honored to highlight Family Success Northwest, a local to Kitsap nonprofit dedicated to supporting families navigating trauma and strengthening emotional wellness throughout our community.

Their mission beautifully aligns with the heart behind the Kitsap Reading Trail: to nurture healing, hope, resilience and connection in Kitsap County families.

Through workshops, school partnerships, parent support programs and community events, Family Success Northwest is helping create a more compassionate and emotionally informed community for both children and caregivers.

Because literacy is powerful…but when paired with emotional support and connection, it becomes transformational!
