The Kitsap County Reading Trail is a completely FREE summer reading adventure that brings families, books & local businesses together throughout Kitsap County 📚✨
From July 11 – August 31, families can explore 15 Trail Stops across North, Central & South Kitsap, with a thoughtfully selected PaperPie children's book waiting at each location to enjoy during your visit.
Books stay at their Trail Stop for other families to enjoy, too!
At each stop, read the featured book together and get your Reading Trail Passport stamped or marked. Visit the stops in any order and at your own pace throughout the summer!
🎉 Complete at least 10 Trail Stops? Beginning August 31st, submit your completed Passport right here on the website to be entered to win prizes!

The Kitsap County Reading Trail is about more than just reading books.
Many of the stories featured throughout the trail explore themes like emotions, friendship, empathy, confidence, self-regulation and connection because stories help children (and adults) better understand themselves and the world around them.
I am honored to highlight Family Success Northwest, a local to Kitsap nonprofit dedicated to supporting families navigating trauma and strengthening emotional wellness throughout our community.
Their mission beautifully aligns with the heart behind the Kitsap Reading Trail: to nurture healing, hope, resilience and connection in Kitsap County families.
Through workshops, school partnerships, parent support programs and community events, Family Success Northwest is helping create a more compassionate and emotionally informed community for both children and caregivers.
Because literacy is powerful…but when paired with emotional support and connection, it becomes transformational!
Join my story-loving community for thoughtful book recommendations, special offers & resources that support connection & growth.
